Tepusquet Century

Here are a few rider shots from Friday! Everyone looks GREAT - even after the hundreds of miles they've ridden this week!

The river washed away the road at the bottom of Tepusquet again this year. While we routed the course around the river, Amalia, Steve, Ted and Mike decided to avoid the extra 9 miles or so and make it a cyclo-cross day!

Jalama Beach

The day started out cold and foggy... but once the sun came out we enjoyed another epic day - and beautiful, challenging ride to Jalama Beach. Pics courtesy of rider, Mike Green!

The Jalama Beach store is famous for burgers and fries!

Great Views!

These shots were taken on Figueroa Mountain Road. It was a perfect day for riding!

Harris Grade - Drum Canyon

Thursday's ride was about 63 miles and included the wonderful climb up Harris Grade, followed by the fantastic descent into Los Alamos. The return to Solvang was Drum Canyon to the 246 - where we were treated to an incredible tailwind!
Here's some of the gang enjoying refreshments at the bottom of the Harris Grade climb.

Check out the wildflowers on Drum!
At the end of the ride (and pretty much every morning) we enjoy the Bull Dog Cafe. The BEST hot chocolate EVER, and darned good coffee and pastries as well!

Rider Photos

Here we are riding the Penultimate Climb - Happy Canyon/Figueroa Mountain Road. 50 miles total, with over 5,000 feet of climbing (most of which is in a 12 mile stretch). Congrats to all who made it up and over!!!

The wildflowers are in bloom on Figueroa Mountain! Absolutely gorgeous!!!
